Community Works’ mission is to build relationships and trust across political differences by working together to address local needs
Local CWorks Chapters collaborate with civic, faith-based, school, and other community groups on projects to strengthen their rural and working class communities. So far CWorks has entered into over 250 local collaborations on more than 400 events.
Activities have included road & river clean-ups, food distribution, IT assistance, Hosting Public Listening Sessions for local government, shelving books at the Library, and much more.
Mentors meet with their student mentee for 30 minutes, once a week for the school year. There will be a one-time training (date TBD).
Want to be a part of our Community Works Library Helpers? Volunteers are needed to shelve books, make craft bags and help out with special events.
In partnership with the Keep Oconee County Beautiful Commission, we adopted a mile of highway to keep clean!
We volunteered to bring popsicles to the campers and councilors at ESP and plan to help them with several programs in the near future.
